My teaching philosophy is composed of several principles that I think important for having courses. First, a teacher should be able to make students motivated for knowledge. So it is important for an instructor to design, prepare, and transmit concepts in a way of fun. This way provides a comfortable environment to help students understand the knowledge, and excite them to think about the meaning under the knowledge learned from the course. Second, a process of teaching is a process of mutual learning, through which both an instructor and students can benefit from the discussion in the course. Sometimes, even simple words in the discussion will enlighten many sparkles of imagination and research interests. Thus, a good teaching environment should be constructed in the discussion. By delivering lectures of high quality with concerns of motivation and mutual discussion, a comfortable and pleasurable course will be presented to students efficiently. In addition, I believe that universities have a very important task to training and mentoring students for the society. Thus, one of my teaching objectives is to open student minds and have them think rationally to fulfill the commitment for the department.
